Which options do I have for payment?

We currently offer three different ways to get paid for your used electronics with Gazelle:

 

Check: Customers who choose to have their trade-in payment sent via check receive their check within 14 days of accepting their offer. If you haven’t received your check or need assistance tracking it, please reach out to Customer Support.

Checks can be reissued as another check, a PayPal payment (with a valid PayPal account/email), or Amazon code.

 

PayPal: Customers who choose to have their trade-in payment sent via PayPal receive their payment within 48 hours of accepting their offer.

If your PayPal payment was sent to the wrong email address, the easiest and fastest solution is to add that address to your PayPal account. You then should be able to access the payment instantly.

If that's not possible, please call us at 1-800-Gazelle or contact us using our Ask a Question form. We will send a request to PayPal to refund the money and reissue to the correct address.

Please note: It may take up to 30 days for PayPal to refund and reissue payment.

 

Amazon: Customers who choose to have their trade-in payment sent via an Amazon.com code receive an email with their code to be redeemed in their Amazon account.

You can also receive a 1.5% bonus when you select Amazon as your payout method! Terms and conditions upon checkout.


How long do I have to change my mind on the payment method?

If you have not yet accepted the trade-in offer, the payment method can be changed.

If the trade has been accepted or paid, we cannot change the method.

Can I change my payment type?

Yes! This is only possible if the device has not been inspected. Once we inspect a device, payment is issued quickly and will probably be already issued the way you indicated in your original offer!

How long does it take to receive my payment?

Once we receive your item, it typically takes about 1 - 2 business days to be processed depending on the time of day it arrives at our inspection warehouse. If the model and condition are confirmed during the inspection (meaning you accept the offer), the payment is processed within 3 – 5 business days.

Amazon and PayPal are the fastest ways to get paid as they are sent out electronically. With either option, payment should arrive within 24-48 hours of the payment being processed.

Checks are shipped via USPS first class and typically take 5 to 10 days to arrive once the payment is processed.

An email will always be sent when a payment is processed and will include details regarding when you can expect to receive it.

How can I change the mailing address for my payment?

Up until the item is inspected, you can change your mailing address in one of two ways:

If you have an activated account: Log into your account to update your address. This change will be immediately reflected in our records and be applicable for any open or future transactions.

If you don’t have an activated account: Please call us at 1-800-Gazelle for the quickest service. Changing your payment mailing address can only be done up to a certain point in the transaction, so timing is important. You can contact our Customer Support team here, however this can take up to 24 hours to receive a response.
